With a strong digital presence across our website, social media channels and eNewsletter, we reach over 1 million people a week. We also work with businesses via our newly launched event series, to offer professional development, networking, and industry based experiences.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • This permanent full-time position will see you responsible for managing our website, newsletter and social media channels, while also strategizing about which platforms we should be focusing on, and how
  • You’ll be planning, creating and distributing social media and digital content for Glam Adelaide’s digital community, as well as identifying target audience segments for stories and developing and executing social media plans to achieve strong reach and engagement with audiences
  • You’ll be responsible for managing the public facing side of the website; monitoring performance of articles and advertising, adjusting article placement, features images and headlines to ensure optimal performance
  • You’ll be working with our editorial team to help guide headlines and optimize their written content for peak engagement. In a similar fashion, you’ll help guide the image choice for each article, and edit accordingly based on the analytics for each article
  • You will manage all social media posts, including running social media competitions, while implementing digital marketing strategies and campaigns to grow our mailing list and overall readership
  • You’ll also be required to attend events – to provide ‘live’ coverage, including as Facebook live videos, and Instagram stories, while also filming strategic footage to use later, in short social media videos on Instagram reels and TikTok
  • You’ll be responsible for reporting on your activities, and the performance of Glam Adelaide’s digital channels, making recommendations on new digital initiatives to grow revenue

Key Tasks

  • Daily social media management and monitoring
  • Contribute to and manage the Glam Adelaide social media marketing plan
  • Manage the mailing list
  • Help to coordinate marketing materials
  • Grow and strengthen all social media channel audiences and engagement
  • Grow website traffic
  • Work with our writers, to help guide their content and headlines for more successful readership
  • Produce regular social media & website reports
  • Manage and produce video content and other social media content for client packages
  • Investigate & develop new digital revenue streams
  • Manage and grow website advertising revenue
  • Ongoing website management & strategy

Project Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Essential: strong proven experience in digital marketing
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant degree advantageous

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone who loves social media, and who wants to immerse themselves in the potential our large, ever-growing audience provides
  • A person who is passionate about South Australia, and wants to use our digital channels to share that love for our State, its businesses and people
  • Experience in using social media for business, with tangible outcomes
  • A strong eye for detail – and exceptional spelling, punctuation and grammar is a must
  • WordPress experience a plus
  • Excellent copywriting experience fit for channel (e.g. email vs push vs social)
  • Excellent copywriting across the board – you'll be the voice of our business, so you need to be able to write in our tone, and for our audience in a way that drives engagement
  • Understanding the role that analytics and insights plays in day-to-day activities, and experience in using analytics to create appropriate content
  • Google Analytics experience
  • Ability to work independently and as a proactive member of a team
  • Creative with an eye for design and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced newsroom, with a high rate of social media posting
