What we are looking for:

As part of the central analytics organization, you will have the opportunity to help support the Channel & Content Analytics group at Gartner Digital Markets (GDM). You will identify new approaches to apply your analytics skills to create site content. You will develop a deep understanding of how we utilize product reviews and other product information to help buyers find the software they need. You will analyze various methodologies to rank and select products to generate content for software buyers. And you will help deliver a more engaging and relevant site experience for software buyers while helping to improve the volume and quality of leads for software sellers.

What You Will Do:

  • Use analytics to help Gartner Digital Market’s be the leading online resource for software buyers and sellers
  • Develop and manage recurring reports and dashboards for internal customers
  • Produce and present ad hoc analysis to support key business initiatives and guide strategic decisions
  • Support data operations and data delivery as necessary to support internal customer needs
  • Mine product review text to identify passages for new content production
  • Conduct sentiment analysis for software products under consideration for new content creation
  • Analyze product review data to identify products that meet criteria for inclusion in new research
  • Assess the impact of new or changing methodologies on product selection criteria
  • Evaluate the viability of expanding content selection methodologies to new categories, markets, etc.
  • Work with technology and analytics partners to support the automation of data operations tasks

What you will bring to the team:

  • Looking for 0-1 years of experience
  • Any graduate degree (Degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics or another quantitative field preferred)
  • Basic understanding of data analysis tools and techniques required
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization systems a plus (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Proficient with the Google or Microsoft suite of business applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Experience with SQL or similar database scripting languages required
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages a plus
  • Experience working with cloud-based or traditional relational database systems a plus
  • Experience working with web analytics tools a plus (Google Analytics, Omniture)
